The rhythm and the tempo,
And the speed at which you play;
Can devastate opponents,
They’ll have nothing more to say.
The will to win is paramount,
Combined with brains and skill;
It’s the measured men and women,
Who compel the human will.
As you contemplate the nature,
And the essence of your soul;
Greatness is inspired,
By the pressure of the goal.
When your mind is fully focused,
On the target in your sight;
You must understand the mission,
And the fathom of the fight.
Blessings are abundant,
To those who know the score;
If you’re soaked in perspiration,
You can reach the distant shore.
It’s the tempo that you set,
At the onset of the race;
That usurps your competition,
By the frenzy of your pace.
Those who stay the course,
And keep pressing to the call;
Are the ones who break the limits,
In their quest to conquer all.
